After a sumptuous dinner in true Western style, country chart topper Moe Bandy and his Americana Band will headline the entertainment at our 2010 John Wayne Birthday Celebration. He'll perform many of his top number one hits including “Just Good Old Boys,” “Hank Williams You Wrote My Life,” “Too Old To Die Young” and “Americana.”
Growing up on western swing in his hometown of San Antonio, the former professional bull rider will also devote much of his program to the rousing strains of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. So dust off your dancing shoes and come and enjoy the show!
Following will be a big-screen 50th Anniversary Presentation of The Alamo.
John Wayne struggled for over a decade to get this film made, in which he not only stars but produces and directs. A bigger than life retelling of the true story of a handful of valiant Americans who take a stand against an army of 7,000. Filmed entirely in Texas, not far from the actual battle site, this ia a grand and glorious epic that looks even better on the BIG screen!
The first 500 to reserve for the VIP Event also receive a FREE DVD of The Alamo as a keepsake to take home with you!
