Pawnee Bill Bandwagon

This huge wood carved bandwagon was built in 1903 for a cost of $4,000 for Gordon William Lillie, otherwise known as Pawnee Bill. Working in Buffalo Bill's shows starting in 1883, he later starting his own show, then merged with Buffalo Bill again later on. Unlike most carved wagons, the center display carvings are different on each side of the wagon. The Pawnee Bill wagon will be a part of the Old-Fashioned Hometown Parade during the John Wayne Birthday Centennial Celebration.
